Covid-19 Statement

Wednesday 25 Mar 2020

Further to the most recent advice of Government, Public Health officials and in particular the Prime Minister’s appeal for everyone to stop non-essential contact with others, the Officers of the General Committee believe that all Apprentice Boys Parades, Meetings, Church Services and any other Club events should not take place.

In effect this means the suspension of all activities, starting immediately and until further notice.

At this point nothing is more important that the health and well-being of our members, their families, friends and neighbours. In this challenging and fast-changing environment, we all must contribute towards supporting the efforts of our Health Services and particularly those in our communities who are vulnerable and isolated.

General Committee will not meet at the end of April.

Parent and Local Club Officers should keep in touch with each other by phone and manage any necessary Club business while meetings are suspended. We also appeal to Clubs to pay attention to Brethren within those groups considered vulnerable, or perhaps feeling isolated, and be kind and helpful in any way that is practically possible.

The General Secretary will be available for contact on any matter through the usual communication means.

William Moore.

General Secretary.
